Abstract
This work was conducted to characterize the use of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) platform for qualification of undergraduate students, in the current conditions of higher education in Brazil. Bibliographic review was performed with the objective of knowing the pedagogical strategies for BIM's approach in the education of professionals related to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector. Also, point out the main impasses for the true consolidation in the teaching of the same, since the number of top-level professionals qualified for proper platform operation is very small, although it is an indispensable tool for professionals in the engineering, architecture and other related areas.
