Abstract
Much has been said about state-of-the-art equipment and high quality materials to provide quality care; however, it is worth highlighting the importance of humanization in the care provided in hospitals, especially from nursing professionals. Thus with the understanding of the need to conduct a study on such an investigative theme: a bibliographical survey was carried out about the humanization of nursing professionals in hospital care. It is important to highlight that the quality of care provided to the client and family members is an essential factor regarding patient recovery and rehabilitation. Methodologically the study was an exploratory bibliographic type, with qualitative approach. Bibliographic search included books, manuals of the Ministry of Health, scientific articles, dissertations and theses, utilizing the following bibliographical descriptors: Quality service. Hospital establishments. Nursing professionals. Bibliographical material was restricted to scientific papers, books and manuals published in the last twelve years, considering that it is essential to update the quality of services provided by health professionals. Results indicated that humanized care by health professionals, specifically by nurses is a very important tool in health facilities. Humanized care should be provided not only to the patient, but also to his family and his companions, enabling a fastest recovery and less traumatic patient rehabilitation.
